Testimonials

“Shelley Franklin has been our go-to graphic designer for special projects, and we have worked with her for several years now. (She recently) worked for us on a four-month contract to complete a number of critical marketing pieces to help the company advance to the next level of growth. As a senior-level graphic designer, Shelley brought more than her technical expertise and creativity to the table – she also employed her project management and communication skills to ensure no balls were dropped and all projects were completed in a timely manner. She communicates well with every level of the organization, including C-level and key stakeholders, and has worked with me personally to carry out my ideas. Her speed, organization skills and handling multiple projects from start to finish makes her a valuable asset to any team.“

— Andrew C. Jackson, President/Founder of BravoTECH

“Shelley is a sharp designer/art director/thinker to work with. She designs with the end user in mind, creating engaging, easy-to-use designs that are intuitive and friendly to both seasoned and novice users. Shelley is also not shy about sharing her opinions and expertise, and will go out of her way to make sure that the end product is the best it can be. I highly recommend Shelley for any design/production work you may need.”

— Kevin Foreman, Senior Manager of Creative Services at Sirius XM

“It’s rare that you come across standout talent like Shelley. Her ability to juggle multiple projects was unlike any I’ve seen before and made a dramatic difference in the productivity level of our team. Her contributions to the social media team at Norwex were highly valuable – ranging from locating several stock photography images for specific campaigns, to creating eye-catching cover photos that drive engagement. Her ability to stay on brand was a crucial element, which she always made a priority. As a team member or a leader, Shelley earns my highest recommendation.”

— Brandon Sellers, Social Marketing Specialist at Norwex

Articles

I am very excited to start using variable fonts in Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator (CC 2020). Here is a great article that I came across that talks about “An Exploration of Variable Fonts.” I think this is a real game changer for the graphic design industry! #graphicdesign #fonts #adobe #design #variablefonts #typography

Adobe Capture has to be one of the most underrated apps that Adobe has produced. I use mine ALL the time. It allows you to work with materials (for 3D), type, vector shapes (they just added color), colors (swatches and gradients), looks (lookup tables – used mainly with video), patterns (bitmap and vector), and brushes (for multiple programs). And, everything you “capture” is saved to your Creative Cloud library and is accessible on your desktop, right away! Here is an article that I came across that talks about “How to use Adobe Capture CC.” I think this app should be talked about more in the graphic design community! #graphicdesign #adobe #capture #design #amazingtool
